POSTGRADUATE TRAINING APPLICATION AND
PLACEMENT PROCESSES COMPLETED

Spring semester application, evaluation and placement procedures of the graduate programs conducted within Atatürk University have been completed.

All stages of the 2020-2021 academic year spring semester graduate application and placement processes were carried out electronically via the developed Student Information System (OBS). By using the OBS application, which has been revised within the framework of software development studies with the cooperation of Atatürk University Computer Science Research and Application Center (BAUM) and the Student Affairs Office, applicants' undergraduate or graduate program information, their graduation grade averages, ALES scores, TUS scores and foreign language scores were obtained through services by accessing OSYM and YÖK's information technology infrastructure. In this context, approximately 7 thousand 500 undergraduate and graduate program information was obtained through the Higher Education Information System (YÖKSİS) and used in the prerequisite definition processes.

In the application calendar, 2 thousand 254 quotas have been announced for 189 graduate programs. One thousand 795 candidates were placed as a result of the evaluation process for the programs to which 8 thousand 165 candidates applied.

"Candidates Were Not Requested Documents. Process Carried Out Online"

Ataturk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı said that, thanks to the software update work carried out in the OBS system, applications requiring face-to-face communication during the pandemic process were eliminated, and that the candidates could make their applications online without any grievances.

Rector Çomaklı stated: “During the application process, the information of the candidates was obtained online from the relevant institutions and no documents were requested from the candidates. Thanks to this software update work, both the workload on the staff of the institute was reduced and erroneous applications were prevented. "I would like to thank the staff of the Registrar's Office and the Computer Science Research and Application Center for their meticulous and self-sacrificing work at every stage of the processes starting from the preparatory stage and ending with student registration.

Registration can be made online between 01-02 February 2021, again via OBS.
