The students who shared their rewards with the Rector of Atatürk University Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı thanked him for his supports by saying “ Your contribution in this success we gained is great, thank you for your support. We will keep working to represent our university in better places."

Congratulating the students of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts department in Tourism Faculty  who participated in the competition on their success, Prof Dr. Çomaklı stating his heartfelt congratulates to students and academicians  on their success in such an important and prestigious organisation, said it is always a pleasure to contribute young people’s showing their talents, knowledge and experience in various platforms, and they will also continue to  be with the young people.

Besides, Rector Çomaklı said “Seeing you as the dutiful children  with the sense of responsibility, grown-up as strong-skilful young ones for our country will always make us happy."

16^th  International Istanbul Gastronomy Festival with the Numbers

Total 2100 competitor cooks, 450 of whom were foreigners from 30 countries and 100 jurists, 25 of them were foreigners participated in the festival which was held with the contributions of Cooks and Chefs Federations of Turkey (TAŞFED) and World Association of Chefs’ Societies (WACS). The festival was host to nearly 30.000 visitors during the organisation.

Istanbul Gastronomy Festival which received “continental” title from World Association of Chefs’ Societies 3 years ago with the successful organisations in the past provides chance for the students and young chefs of our country to compete at international level.
