COOPERATION WITH MALAYSIA PUTRA UNIVERSITY RENEWED
Atatürk University, which is in cooperation with many universities in the world and has many protocol agreements, has added a new one to these studies and expanded the scope of the protocol signed with Malaysia Putra University (Universiti Putra Malaysia - UPM).
UPM Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Bin Sulaiman and his delegation team visited Atatürk University to bring efficiency to academic cooperation activities between the two universities and met with Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı. During the visit where the relations between the two universities were discussed, The bilateral cooperation protocol signed by Rector prof. Dr. Çomaklı and Malaysia Putra University Acting Rector Prof. Dr.Sulaiman in previous years have been renewed.
With the signed protocol, the joint graduate diploma programs carried out in the fields of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, and Biology will be expanded to include the fields of Business Administration, Agriculture, and Veterinary Medicine, activating faculty and student mobility, and fostering the culture of joint research and publication. It was decided to organize joint scientific activities.
Rector Çomaklı, who stated that he was pleased to host the administrators of Putra University in Malaysia, said that there was a brotherhood law between the two universities dating back years.
Rector Çomaklı: “So far, there has been no disruption in the previously agreed protocols with Malaysia Putra University. Our work is progressing smoothly in all respects. We will strive to further our existing relations with the expanded protocol. Our universities, which benefit from each other's knowledge with these signed agreements, also act as a bridge between Turkey and Malaysia in scientific, cultural, and economic fields.
After the visit, the UPM delegation visited different units of Atatürk University, especially the Eastern Anatolia High Technology Research and Application Center (DAYTAM) and Animal Hospital.
