MANEGE AREA AND EQUINE COORDINATORSHIP CONTINUES ITS SERVICE
Atatürk University, which fulfills its mission of integrating with the society within the scope of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project, stands out with its scientific and academic studies as well as its studies for the society.
In this context, Atatürk University, with the Manege Area and Equine Coordinatorship, provides professional equestrian training services with 1 indoor and 5 open manege areas in its equestrian facilities.
At the facilities, the students of Atatürk University Technical Vocational School Equestrian and Coaching Department and the students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine continue their education processes, while at the same time horse riding services are provided open to the public. In addition to trainings such as modern horse riding, traditional horse riding, horse jumping, horse archery, horse javelin, blacksmithing, hippotherapy training for disabled individuals is given by expert hands.
Stating the facility has gained a modern appearance and that the community and academic equestrianism were brought together, thanks to the contribution of Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, facility coordinator Assist. Prof. Dr. Gökhan Öztürk stated that they are trying to give the best service to the people of Erzurum.
“The hippotherapy trainings given by expert trainers, especially for disabled individuals, were offered to the service of our people. The riding training given here consists of 4 courses and each course consists of 10 hours of training. Training certificates are given to the trainees after each course. The trainings are carried out by expert hands in a healthy and reliable environment. In the cafeteria section of our facility, people can watch their riding training. I would like to thank Rector Prof. Dr Ömer Çomaklı for his putting the facility into the servive of the public.” he said.
