MARCH ACADEMIC INCENTIVE CEREMONY HELD

Atatürk University, which rewards academicians who carry the name of the university to the top ranks with their scientific studies, has added a new one to the Academic Incentive Ceremonies organised in line with the principle of "respecting labour and appreciating success".

At the ceremony held in the Culture Centre 15 July National Will Hall, the awards given for research-based studies found their owners.

Within the scope of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project, the awards of the faculty members who applied in March for their research activities were given by Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı.

Stating that the successes achieved at Atatürk University are always appreciated and encouraged, Rector Çomaklı said that all personnel who produce and contribute to the development of the country with their superior performance will always continue to be supported. Stating that Erzurum has recently risen to the top levels in the patent rankings, Rector Çomaklı mentioned that the biggest factor in this rise is the patents produced at Atatürk University.

"Universities have now become self-sufficient institutions by transforming knowledge into value"

Rector Çomaklı: "In the modern world, universities are now in a position to manage themselves both financially and in terms of manpower. Universities, which are the source of knowledge, transform knowledge into value in order to gain this power. By accelerating the steps we have taken towards becoming a self-sufficient university, we both meet our own needs and contribute to the development of the country. I would like to thank all our academicians who support our university on this path and congratulate our faculty members who are entitled to receive awards with their publications, patents, projects and companies."
