Atatürk University quickly repaired the damage caused by the fire on the roof of the central cafeteria on September 20 and put it back into the service of students on September 26. All traces of the fire have been completely erased, and all of the university's work in and around the cafeteria has been finished.

After a fire broke out on the roof of the central cafeteria at Atatürk University on the same day that repair and renovation work began, the university quickly renewed the interior and exterior parts of the building and reactivated the cafeteria so that the students would not have to go through the trauma of being victimized.

Under the direction of Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, the kitchen, goods reception, cold storage, and office sections of the central cafeteria participated in the remodeling works, along with the repair works on the roof. The end result is a fresh and contemporary appearance for the central cafeteria. During the time that these studies were being conducted, there was no interference with the meals that the employees and students were consuming, and the work that was being done in the cafeteria proceeded in its usual thorough fashion.

The meals in the central cafeteria, which are provided twice a day, at lunch and dinner, are prepared in accordance with the applicable hygienic regulations and are supervised by food specialists. The cafeteria is used by thousands of students and staff members.

Rector Çomaklı stated that Atatürk University emerged stronger from the unfortunate fire, and that the university, which has a long history and is equipped with qualified teaching staff and strong infrastructure, came out of this disaster with a clear conscience. He said that Atatürk University is an institution with an ancient history, equipped with qualified teaching staff, and strong infrastructure.

"Our 65-year-old university has always been and will continue to be with our students in every field," the rector of the university, Çomaklı, said in a statement that they are glad to offer the finest service possible to the students who are the pupils of the institution. Due to the unfortunate fire that occurred at our school, we looked at methods in which our students would not be affected and developed potential solutions. On the one hand, we kept up with our catering business, and on the other, we kept up with the maintenance and refurbishment of our cafeteria. We worked along with our coworkers to totally remodel the major cafeteria in our building. We planned the layout of our cafeteria so that it would continue to serve our university for many years. I would want to express my gratitude to everyone who has stood by our side during this entire journey.
