MONITORING AND EVALUATION MEETING WAS ORGANISED FOR VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS

While the 2023 Academic Monitoring and Evaluation Meetings within the framework of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project, chaired by Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, continued with the participation of unit managers and academicians, Rector Çomaklı received information from the authorities about the academic performances of the units in 2022.

Rector Çomaklı and the management team met with the administrators of Technical Sciences, Tortum, Justice, Aşkale, Hınıs and Horasan Vocational Schools in the morning and İspir Hamza Polat, Narman, Oltu, Pasinler, Health Services and Social Sciences Vocational Schools in the afternoon at the Culture Centre Blue Hall and evaluated the work done as a result of the presentations made by the administrators.

Research University performance indicators, cultural transformation studies, evaluation of academic performance results and TUBITAK competence analysis are organised under 4 titles, while the development and performance of the units are also monitored in the presentations.

Rector Çomaklı stated that as a result of the meetings, the successful and developmental aspects of the units will be determined, and said that the feedbacks of the studies carried out were received and the necessary arrangements will be made accordingly.

Rector Çomaklı emphasised the importance of scientific, artistic and social studies carried out by faculty members in the national and international arena and stated that the contribution of these studies to the development and recognition of the university and our country is also worth appreciating.

Rector Çomaklı: ‘In addition to the education and research duties of universities, it is foreseen that the new generation universities will be shaped within the framework of their mission of contribution to society, whether it is the third generation university definition that addresses innovation centred on university-society cooperation or the fourth generation university definition that prioritises regional development. In our university, which provides first degree education services to 14 neighbouring cities, I believe that the projects, publications and all other studies that our academic staff working in all units of our vocational colleges, which carry out important studies in the districts, have put forward and will put forward in terms of quality and quantity will continue our success.’
