RESEARCH LABORATORIES OF THE FACULTY OF ENGINEERING RENOVATED

Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı and his management participated in the opening program of the Research Laboratories, which were redesigned within the Faculty of Engineering.

At Atatürk University, where a total change has been experienced with the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project, the renewal process continues. While various breakthroughs are made in the academic field within the framework of the New Generation University vision, scientific studies are carried out more easily and efficiently at the University, where many innovations are implemented in terms of both physical and infrastrucuture.

In this direction, the program held in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Engineering for the renewed laboratories was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, vice-rectors, the secretary general and many academics.

Research Laboratories of 9 Departments Redesigned

Speaking at the opening program, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Recep Sadeler started his speech by expressing that they were happy to host Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı on the occasion of the event, in his own faculty, where he served for many years. Dean Sadeler stated that the infrastructure, equipment and equipment of the Research Laboratories (under BAP ARDEB) of the 9 departments in the Main and Additional Building of the Faculty of Engineering were renewed within the scope of the resources and supports provided by the university's own resources: “As you know very well, Research Laboratories are not only equipped with their equipment. They are the areas that require special design with their infrastructures.”

Emphasizing that expectations should be met in terms of functionality, hygiene, ergonomics and safety, Sadeler said: “Laboratories are the areas that need to be specially planned and designed in detail, in accordance with their purpose in terms of equipment, infrastructure and systems, researcher health and environmental safety. With this awareness, we re-updated the infrastructure and hardware design plans, the design and planning of which had previously started on a departmental basis, and put the renovation activities into practice at the beginning of 2021, with BAP resources within the scope of the Construction Works and Technical Department and the Guided Project. Again, by carrying out that process together, we brought the laboratories of our faculty to their current state. With these thoughts, I would like to thank all our members, especially rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, for his support, and wish that our laboratories that have been put into service will be beneficial to our faculty.”

Rector Çomaklı: “We Integrate the Instruments Presented by Contemporary Science into Our Faculty”

Stating that it is necessary to keep up with technological developments in order to get both more accurate and faster results, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı stated that the laboratories are equipped with the latest technological devices in this direction and used the following statements: “We think that such renewals are extremely important in a changing and developing world. It is an inevitable fact today that it is necessary to support learning activities with technological infrastructure. We integrated these instruments offered by modern science into our faculty and put them at the service of our scientists and students. I sincerely believe that studies that will benefit our university and our country will emerge from these laboratories, and I wish the researchers good luck.”

The visit ended with Rector Çomaklı exchanging ideas with academics working in the faculty.
