Atatürk University, which has produced hundreds of thousands of graduates in Turkey's higher education over the past 67 years, has significantly contributed to the country's trained human resources. The honors bestowed upon its academicians on a national and international level fortify the university's future.

Regarding this matter, during the Centenary TÜBA and TÜBİTAK Science Awards, which were hosted by the Presidency, a Prof. Dr. İlhami Gülçin from the Faculty of Science honored with the TÜBİTAK Basic Sciences award in the domain of fundamental sciences, a member of the Faculty of Engineering Prof Dr. Rabia Meryem honored with the 100th Anniversary TÜBİTAK Science Award in the domain of Social and Human Sciences. Associate Professor Haydar Kılıç of the Faculty of Science honored with Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) Outstanding Young Scientists Award (GEBİP) in the discipline of organic chemistry, expressed their delight and joy to Rector Ömer Çomaklı.


Furthermore, with her dissertation titled "Examination of the Effectiveness of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy on Children Diagnosed with Autism and on Typically Developing Children and on Their Parents by Adapting It to Turkish Culture" Assist. Prof. Dr. Sümeyye Ulaş, member from the Atatürk University Aşkale Vocational School, awarded the TÜBA TEKNOFEST Doctoral Science Award, an annual accolade bestowed by the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) in recognition of the most outstanding research endeavor, also met with the Rector.

 The professors İlhami Gülçin,  Rabia Meryem Yılmaz, Assoc. Prof. Hayrdar Kılıç and Assist. Prof Sümeyye Ulaş paid a visit to Rector Çomaklı in his office, with all stating that they are dedicated to promote the name of Atatürk University and are honored to be affiliated with this venerable institution.

"Our mutual agreement is to utilize scientific knowledge for the benefit of humanity and to convert it into something of value."

Rector Çomaklı congratulated the accomplished scholars on the accolades they were bestowed with, emphasizing that each accomplishment signifies a source of pride for Atatürk University.

"It is a pleasure for our scholars to receive their honors from our president, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan," said the rector Çomaklı. We unwaveringly endorse all endeavors undertaken to promote the progress of our nation, with a particular focus on our university and the surrounding area. Our shared objective is to convert scientific knowledge into practical applications that benefit the human race. Atatürk University, a preeminent academic establishment in our nation renowned for its proficient academic staff, well-equipped application units, and high-quality curriculum, maintains its competitive edge against the world's foremost universities through the assiduous efforts of its esteemed members.
