ATA TECHNOPOLIS WAS EXPLAINED TO STUDENTS ON CAREER PATH
Within the scope of the programs organized by Atatürk University Career Planning and Graduate Tracking Research Application Center (ATA KARMER), students are told about their roles in career planning processes.
In line with the changing conditions of the era and the business world, ATA KARMER, which organizes various activities for its students and graduates in determining their career goals, gaining a well-equipped infrastructure and gaining knowledge, skills and experience in this context, finally hosted ATA Teknokent managers online.
Stating that ATA KARMER has made great efforts for students and graduates to determine their career paths, to develop and become individuals who are prepared for business life, KARMER Director Assoc. Dr. Neslihan Kulözü Uzunboy stated that, acting with the principle of providing quality service, they are taking firm steps towards becoming a unit with high awareness, which can be a model with the works it will put forward.
"Eastern Anatolia Should Become the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship"
Ata Teknokent Chairman and General Manager Prof. Dr. Ayhan Çelik, on the other hand, stated that Technoparks have an important potential in entrepreneurship and innovation, giving information about the definition and duties of Technoparks. Çelik said: "You can think of technoparks as Silicon Valley, especially in the US, there are a lot of products that come out as a result of university-industry cooperation."
Noting that Technoparks play a key role in the transformation of knowledge into technology and in cooperation with industry and universities, Çelik said that Technoparks are effective in the recovery and development of the region. Stating that they have made great efforts to make the Eastern Anatolia Region an innovation and entrepreneurship center, Çelik said: “In this context, we are planning to establish an entrepreneurship and innovation center affiliated to Ata Teknokent in the cities of the Eastern Anatolia Region. At the same time, as ATA Technopolis, we enable students, academicians and companies to conduct R&D, prototype development and patent researches, allowing them to make use of all technical, scientific and academic opportunities of the university, and provide free training in related fields ”.
"Over 100 Students are Preparing for Teknofest"
Stating that Atatürk University students are preparing for Teknofest and their applications are made in 27 areas, Çelik emphasized that the projects and applications are supported by various companies and fund-raising institutions. Stating that certified trainings are given to students in the Entrepreneurship House and their demands are very high, Prof. Dr. Çelik also stated that they offer students the opportunity to do internships in companies in Technopolis. He stated that a laboratory will be established for graduate students and that they will enable master and doctoral thesis studies to be carried out here. At the closing of the program, Çelik told that the doors of the Technopolis are always open to students and asked the students to visit and see the Technopolis.
Rector Çomaklı: "We are Planning to Provide Education to Graduate Students"
Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı shared information about the facilities and opportunities Technoparks provide to students.
Çomaklı stated that a laboratory will be established for graduate students and they will ensure that graduate and doctoral students' studies will be carried out here, adding that after the pandemic is over, we are planning to provide service to graduate students through Technopolis. At the same time, we help academics to take part in international projects, establish companies, protect their ideas and enable them to enter the project markets. For companies, we enable them to establish companies in ATA Technopolis and prepare the necessary ground for collaborations with academicians ”.
