ARCHERS HIT THE TARGET

Atatürk University, which has left its mark on sports tournaments this year as well as in recent years, became the champion in Archery after the undefeated champion in the Handball tournament held last week.

Turkish University Sports Federation (TÜSF) Archery UNILIG Turkey Championship, which started to be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Eskişehir Technical University stadium has ended. Atatürk University Archery Men's Team finished the tournament with the championship.

Stating that they had a very good tournament in general, the archery team athletes stated that they came first as a result of difficult encounters, and said that they were very happy and proud to have the university's name written on the top. Successful athletes also expressed that they always felt the support of the university behind them and thanked Rector Çomaklı for his financial and moral support.

Stating that they are working with all their strength as the university administration in order to create the necessary infrastructure in terms of academic, cultural, social and sports for the university to reach the position it deserves, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı said: “As Atatürk University, our aim is to set an example for Turkey with sportive achievements as well as education. We are making all the necessary steps in order to carry out sports and education side by side. I sincerely believe that our university, which operates in many fields such as football, tennis, basketball, volleyball, handball, swimming, and archery, will put its name on the top of the list in the TÜSF medal rankings this year, as it has in recent years, and I congratulate our champion archery team with these feelings.”
