Olur District Governor Abdurrahman Çelebi and Olur Mayor Sıddık Demircan visited Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı to strengthen inter-institutional relations and exchange ideas about various collaborations.

During the visit held at the Rectorate, it was discussed that the agriculture and livestock potential in Erzurum can be developed with the support of Atatürk University, and what can be done jointly with the Olur District Governorate and Municipality in this regard. Rector Çomaklı said that universities are very important for the city they are located in and that they are one of the factors that form the basis of development, and that Atatürk University supports all kinds of studies that benefit Erzurum until the end.

Reminding that the most important factor that develops a city is a well-functioning university, Rector Çomaklı emphasized that Atatürk University produces projects for the identified deficiencies and carries out innovative studies for the development of the functioning system. Prof. Dr. Çomaklı stated that he also attaches importance to the visits of District Governor Çelebi and President Demircan in this context and reminded that they often organize these and similar meetings that contribute to the city-university unity.

Expressing that they are pleased to work in the city where an institution such as Atatürk University has made and continues to make a great contribution to the education of the country and the development of the society, the guests expressed their gratitude to the Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı.
