The summer school will be started at Atatürk University during the summer term of 2024 to facilitate the successful completion of courses that require retaking and to alleviate the course burden in the subsequent semesters by enrolling in courses from the higher level.
Course pre-registrations will be conducted in the formal education faculty from July 8-14, 2024, and in the open and distance education faculty from July 15-21, 2024.
Students will have the opportunity to pre-register for a maximum of 10 distinct courses in formal education. Additionally, they will be able to register for a maximum of 20 ECTS courses, which includes common compulsory courses. Only this course is eligible for enrollment if its ECTS exceed 20. In addition to this credit limit, students who are in the process of graduating will be permitted to enrol in an additional course. A course that has not been pre-registered will not be eligible for final registration.
Students will have the opportunity to enrol in courses that they have not previously taken in the lower semesters, have attempted but been unable to pass the exam, have failed, or that they wish to take in order to improve their GPA during the Summer School. Students will be unable to enrol in courses that are not part of their curriculum, even if they share the same name and credit. This is due to the fact that they have a distinct root code. Consequently, students will be required to access the root code of the course(s) in their own curriculum for the courses they will be taking from various departments, open the course(s) in the department where they will be registering for the course, and establish an external quota definition for the departments in which they are enrolled.
Within the pre-registration period, students will have their advisors finalise their registration (course approval) for the courses for which they have enrolled and paid. Students will have their advisors cancel the registration approval procedure for courses or courses that they have registered and approved by their advisors, but which are not opened for any reason, during the add/drop period.
The Summer School Calendar for the Faculty of Open and Distance Education has been established.
The Summer School calendar was also announced by the Open and Distance Education Faculty at Ataturk University.
