SEEKING FOR COMMON MIND CONTINUES

Rector of Atatürk University Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı came together with the management of İpekyolu Industry and Business Federation Erzurum Branch and its members by adding a new one to the NGO, association and foundation visits he carried out in order to contribute to the culture of consultation and strengthen the communication bridge.

Rector Çomaklı was accompanied by vice-rectors, advisor to the rector, university secretary general and unit managers and office coordinators during his visit to evaluate the progress of the sector and to discuss the steps to be taken for cooperation.

Noting that Atatürk University  is responsible not for itself, but also all its stakeholders to keep up with the competitive environment of the age,  Çomaklı stated that they organize continuous training seminars, knowledge and experience sharing, project support, face-to-face meetings with business people and regional and international research trips in order to fulfill this responsibility properly.

“Developments in Countries and Cities Rest Upon Each Other”

He also stated that they struggle to bring the regional economy to a better place, and for this they started from Erzurum and 49 projects came to the fore in the conference they organized to determine the road map of the city. Çomaklı, who shared the results reports from the federation members, said: “We have realized important projects on the social, cultural problems and things to do in our country and cities. We made the infrastructure of all working systems ready. Our next goal is to put our signature under important successes  taking power from the ground we have created. However, it should not be forgotten that development in countries and cities will rest upon each other. For this reason, we discuss our work that we have done by giving importance to the culture of consultation with our internal and external stakeholders and share our future plans with them. We continue our support in order to prepare the members of the NGOs, which are concentrated in business people, for the competitive environment and to enable the members to improve themselves. In this context, I would like to thank Mr. Mehmet Nuri Alim and his management for their hospitality and wish them success in their work.”

Stating that they have been continuing their activities with excitement since the first day of its establishment, Mehmet Nuri Alim, chairman of the Erzurum Branch of İpekyolu Industry and Business Federation, stated that they consider it a duty to fight for the future to be built on solid grounds, not for what was built and done in the past. Noting that they always have a structure that gives importance to the idea exchange, President Alim thanked Rector Ömer Çomaklı and his team for their contribution to this cooperation by drawing attention to their efforts to establish and strengthen the city.

The visit ended after the question and answer session.
