Erzurum Governor Okay Memiş, made a congratulatory visit to  Atatürk University Rector Prof. Ömer Çomaklı.

Governor Memiş, who conveyed his good wishes to Prof.  Ömer Çomaklı, who re-appointed as the Rector of Atatürk University, received information from the Rector Çomaklı and his team about the general situation of the university and the works carried out. Pointing out that universities play an important role in the development and development of cities, Governor Memiş stated that they attach great importance to academic and scientific studies in order to achieve the goals set by our country, and in this context, our universities, which prepare our young people, who are the guarantee of our future, to the future, equipped with modern knowledge, have become more important every day.

Cooperation and projects in the field of education were discussed and Covid-19 measures were also discussed during the visit. The Governor Memiş, who received information from Rector Çomaklı about the work done for the 2020-2021 Fall Semester, which will be mainly through distance education, said that students studying at Atatürk University, one of the most important institutions not only in Erzurum but also in the region where it is located, take part in important places on behalf of the country.

Lastly, Governor Memiş said, "I wish success to our students in the new academic year that will begin, and I sincerely believe that our students who will graduate from here will contribute to the future of our country as benevolent citizens." He wishes his best to Prof. Ömer Çomaklı for the new period.
