MEANINGFUL EVENT FROM PRIVATE FOUNDATION SCHOOLS

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which was accepted by the United Nations in 1992 in order to increase social awareness towards disabled individuals and to improve the living standards of private individuals, was celebrated by Atatürk University Private Foundation Schools with a meaningful event.

Private Foundation Schools, which hosted the Erzurum Youth and Sports Club Wheelchair Basketball Team, celebrated this special day with enthusiasm by being one heart in the friendship match where students and teachers were accompanied by wheelchairs in order to raise social awareness.

“All Obstacles Are Overcome With Love, Respect and Solidarity”

Atatürk University Development Foundation General Manager Erdal Karagülle stated that they wanted to raise awareness by organizing a meaningful event as the Private Foundation Schools Family on such an important day: These achievements of our disabled people, who have achieved successes that will set an example for our country and all humanity in every field, by overcoming all difficulties, are undoubtedly worthy of all kinds of appreciation. As Private Foundation Schools, we hosted an important event in which our students and teachers were also included. We played a friendly match with Erzurum Youth and Sports Club Wheelchair Basketball Team on this day when all our members were in unity and solidarity. Their success, outstanding efforts and never-ending joy of living became the lesson of the day for all of us. Reminding that all obstacles will be overcome with love, respect and solidarity, we offer our love and respect to all our disabled citizens and their devoted families, especially our sports friends who did not break us and helped make such an important event happen.”

Rector Çomaklı: "Their Honorable Stance and Success Sets an Example for All of Us"

Emphasizing that they are the representatives of a civilization that prioritizes people in all service areas, acts with the motto of "people first", prioritizes the understanding of "Let people live so that the State can live" and sees people as the most honorable of creations, Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı made the following remarks: “As members of a holistic management model and a deep-rooted tradition, we attach great importance to making our disabled brothers happy and satisfied in every aspect and to make their lives easier by including them in every field of life. In this context, we continue to work with all our units to support our private individuals with a total understanding. We find the event held by our Private Foundation Schools very valuable in terms of raising awareness, we congratulate those who contributed, on this occasion, we celebrate the 'World Disabled Persons' Day of our disabled people who make an effort for the success of our country, work tirelessly and relentlessly despite all the difficulties they encounter, and set an example for all of us with their honorable stance and success. I congratulate you wholeheartedly."
