Prof. Bashar Saad ,The Rector of AL-Qasemi Academy-Palestine, visited Ömer Çomaklı, The Rector of Ataturk University. The visit, which took place at the Rector's office, included Rector Saad, along with his assistants and External Relations Coordinator.

Rector Bashar Saad who stated that they had been carrying out projects with big universities like Ataturk University, said they started a study about the intellectuals of  Islam and Ottoman by telling that the Islamic intellectuals had written great books since past.

Saad who thanked Turkey for his support and interest for Palestine stated that Arab States had once supported them but soon gave up and left Palestine alone.

Rector Çomaklı who began his speech by praying condolence for 17 Palestinian martyred by Israel in the past few days said “We are praying for the establishment of independent Palestine as soon as possible. We are always on our Palestinian siblings’ side.”

Rector Çomaklı who emphasized that there was not any problems in the Middle East when it was ruled over by the Ottoman said that there had been turmoil since the empire withdraw from there.

Çomaklı : “ Ataturk University is a 61 year old strong university and the city it located has 6 thousand-year history. We are working hard to be a university worthy of this old civilization.  Placing a great emphasis on internationalization, we give great importance to our relation between Palestine in particular.

We visited AL-Qasemi Academy by coming to Palestine before and we made a set of decision together. We thank you for the hospitality you showed us in Palestine.  We saw your university as our own university. I hope you feel comfortable as you are at your own home.   

The book “Hicri Onuncu Asırda Yenilik ve Değişim Hareketi: Taşköprüzade Örneği ve Bazı Risalelerinin Tenkitli Neşri” which was prepared by AL-Qasemi Language Academy as result of the agreement which was signed before between AL-Qasemi Academy and Ataturk University was given as a gift to Rector Çomaklı by Prof. Bashar Saad.
