The Project Development and Coordination Office at Atatürk University was established with the aim of fostering a culture of project development. It has undergone restructuring in alignment with the New Generation Design and Transformation Project. The office remains committed to promoting and facilitating project preparation and presentation among faculty members and students. Additionally, it actively announces information about available funding sources, offers scientific and technical assistance to ongoing projects, and collaborates with both national and international organizations.

The Office has been reorganized

The New Generation University Design and Transformation Project was initiated in 2018 as a visionary endeavor aimed at establishing a new trajectory for the university. Its objectives encompassed adapting to the demands of the modern era while upholding institutional traditions, aligning educational initiatives with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and attaining global competitiveness. In pursuit of these goals, the project not only reorganized existing units but also integrated novel innovations, thereby establishing these units as integral constituents of a contemporary educational framework.

Offers Consultancy Services

According to Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, the Rector of Atatürk University, the Project Development and Coordination Office is dedicated to enhancing the academic endeavors of the university. It aims to promote research and development projects by enhancing its capabilities in alignment with the university's scientific research policies, strategies, and thematic field priorities.

"In line with our strategic goals, we have reorganized our Project Development and Coordination Office within our university in order to encourage our academic staff and students to prepare and present projects by developing our university's project culture," says Rector Çomaklı. The office, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Serkan Yıldırım, offers assistance to academic personnel involved in both domestic and international projects. Additionally, the office provides coordination and consultancy services in project development by disseminating information about project proposals, fostering engagement among units and researchers, organizing relevant training sessions, and facilitating collaborations.

The Project Development and Coordination Office, which holds strategic significance for the university following the reorganization process aligned with the New Generation University vision, assumes the responsibility of establishing collaborative working groups. This is achieved through the evaluation of project and joint work proposals put forth by external institutions and organizations within the framework of bilateral collaborations. According to Çomaklı, the implementation of these measures serves to enhance both the quality and number of project activities inside our university. Additionally, we actively arrange seminars, panels, and comparable events to facilitate the dissemination of exemplary practices. I would like to introduce our unit, which has been designed with the aim of promoting a research and development (R&D) culture within our university. The primary objectives of our unit are to enhance our university's standing in project success indexes offer consultancy, information, and mentoring services to project owners with regard to original value, widespread impact, and feasibility, as well as conduct training activities on project preparation, presentation, and management. I am pleased to present our unit, which has consistently delivered successful services, for the benefit of all our members. I hope for an academically enriching period filled with various projects.
