US Ankara Embassy Cultural Affairs Deputy Attaché Victoria O'Connell, who visited Atatürk University to strengthen cooperation and relations with the American Language Corner, which works under Atatürk University Career Planning and Graduate Monitoring Application and Research Center (ATAKARMER), USA Ankara Embassy Education Coordinator Deniz Can met with Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı.

During their visit to Victoria O'Connell and Deniz Can, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mustafa Sözbilir, Director of Career Planning and Graduate Monitoring Application and Research Center Assoc. Dr. Neslihan Kulözü Uzunboy and American Language Corner Coordinator Dr. Instructor Member Aslı Yılmaz accompanied him.

Rector Çomaklı thanked the authorities by stating that the American Language Corner made significant contributions to students' language learning.

The guests stated that they gave a talk on personal career journey and a conference on education opportunities and education system in the USA at the American Language Corner, and said that the Department of American Culture and Literature at the Faculty of Letters was also visited.

Noting that meetings were held to support the newly established American Culture and Literature department, the guests stated that the possible contributions of the US Embassy in Ankara were also evaluated in the process of ensuring the sustainable development of the department.
