Rector Çomaklı attended the Conference on "Haydar Aliyev: Ideology of Multiculturalism and Tolerance" in Azerbaijan.

Rector Çomaklı, who went to Azerbaijan to attend the Conference, returned by making Cooperation Agreements.

The first International Scientific Conference on "Heydar Aliyev: Ideology of Multiculturalism and Tolerance" was held in memory of the 95. anniversary of Haydar Aliyev with the support of the new Azerbaijan Party and Baku International Multiculturalism Center.

The conference began by leaving rose to Haydar Aliyev's bust in front of the University foyer and  Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, Rectors of Partner Universities, Directors of Institutions and Organizations of Azerbaijan, Representatives of Embassies of various countries accredited in Azerbaijan, Deputies, Presidents of National and Religious Communities and Officials and Academicians attended the conference.
In his opening speech Prof. Dr. Kemal Abdullah, President of Azerbaijan Language University, NASA Member and President of Baku International Multiculturalism Center parents Council: ''We dedicate this conference to the eternal memory of our great leader Heydar Aliyev, whom we will all cherish and preserve his love for ever.” He also thanked the participants of the conference  under the slogan of "Heydar Aliyev - 95" Heydar Aliyev: Ideology of Multiculturalism and Tolerance".

At the closing ceremony of the International Conference “Haydar Aliyev: Ideology of Multiculturalism and Tolerance”, which was held on the occasion of 95 years of Heydar Aliyev's birth, Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı: “I would like to thank the Azerbaijan University Conference Organizing Committee of the Azerbaijan language Conference which has gained a very important place in Azerbaijan and Turkish world and has organized such a scientific meeting on behalf of the esteemed statesman Heydar Aliyev and which is a means of scientific and cultural integration on an international platform.”
