Rector of Atatürk University, who went to Ankara to make some visits and examinations. Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı met with İbrahim Şenel, President of the Presidency of Strategy and Budget.

The Director of Atsrophysics Research and Application Center (ATASAM) and DAG Project Coordinator Prof. Dr. Cahit Yeşilyaprak accompanied him.

Rector Çomaklı evaluated the route where Europe's largest telescope (4 meters) produced in Italy will be brought to Erzurum during the visit where the contributions of the DAG project to the field of observation and space sciences, which is evaluated within the scope of the National Space Program by the Presidency, are dwelled on. He also explained in detail the subjects such as road improvement and asphalt coating process for transportation to the DAG campus.

Rector Çomaklı: "We had an exchange of ideas with the Presidential Strategy and Budget Chairman about the road technical project prepared for the route up to the summit from Konakli position and about  transporting the precision-bored telescope and allowing it to be carried out in a health way, approaching the end of Turkey's largest vision and one science projects, DAG. We exchanged information on the road construction process and budgeting of its allowance. As of the beginning of this summer, we have made a joint decision to start the road construction and complete it quickly. I believe our meeting was very productive. I would like to thank Mr. İbrahim Şenel for his hospitality.”
