30 AUGUST VICTORY DAY MESSAGE FROM RECTOR ÇOMAKLI
Ataturk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı released a message on the occasion of August 30 Victory Day. Rector Çomaklı made the following statements in his message:
August 30 is the name of a great victory that came at the final point of a survival war that lasted for years, the last great struggle, clearing the homeland from the enemy, and a liberation that lasted with impossibilities.
August 30 is the embodiment of a nation's struggle with its life, blood, wealth and intensity, and a rampant victory.
August 30 is the name of all those martyrs, veterans, the last bullet left, every minaret destroyed, the sherbet of martyrdom drunk, every woman who pulls the cart with her body, every sea whose color changes with blood, at the end of every sea, with gratitude and happiness.
August 30 is a day that is remembered with honor and gratitude for us. We commemorate all martyrs, veterans and all those who gave their best in the name of full independence, especially Commander-in-Chief Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades in arms, who entrusted us with the pride of this great victory, with respect, gratitude and mercy, for leaving a homeland that "will stand forever".
