RECTOR ÇOMAKLI PAYS A VISIT TO BALKAN UNIVERSITIES.
The ongoing implementation of Atatürk University's Internationalization Strategy involves visits to countries identified as priority destinations. In this particular context, the purpose of the visit made by Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı and the accompanying delegation to Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia was to enhance bilateral relations and establish new agreements between higher education institutions in the Balkans pertaining to education and research.
During the visit program, the University of Dubrovnik in Croatia and the University of Sarajevo, renowned institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, were visited. Additionally, the University of Mostar and Mostar Dzemal Bjedic University were also included in the itinerary. The purpose of these visits was to engage in discussions regarding potential academic initiatives that could enhance transparency within the framework of bilateral agreements.
During the interviews, a consensus was achieved regarding the exchange of students and academic personnel with a specific emphasis on educational and research activities, as well as the collaboration on joint scientific endeavors such as projects, publications, patents, trademarks, congresses, symposiums, and other related initiatives. Prof. Dr. Çomaklı expressed their commitment to maintaining strong partnerships with Balkan universities. He emphasized their dedication to providing comprehensive support, particularly to researchers engaged in collaborative project initiatives who plan to visit Atatürk University, and emphasized the persistence of its upward trajectory.
