NEW COOPERATION STEP FROM RECTOR ÇOMAKLI...NEW ERA IN EDUCATION BETWEEN TURKEY AND KAZAKHSTAN
The Rector of Atatürk University, Prof. Dr. ÖmerÇomaklı, conducted an academic visit to Kazakhstan during which he conferredwith representatives from various universities and institutions.

The first day of the visit, Rector Çomaklı met with the Embassy of the Republicof Turkey in Astana, the Astana Programme Coordination Office of the TurkishCooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Gumilyov University, andAgrotechnical University. He also signed a variety of cooperation agreements.
New Era in Turkey-Kazakhstan Relations
Rector Çomaklı's visit is intended to fortify the educational and culturalbonds between Kazakhstan and Turkey. academic cooperation opportunities betweenthe two countries were the subject of the initial encounter, which took placeat the Embassy of Turkey in Kazakhstan. Mustafa Kapucu, the Ambassador ofTurkey to Astana, underscored the significance of Atatürk University'scontributions to the further development of relationships between the twonations.
On the occasion of Democracy and National Unity Day, Rector Çomaklı attendedthe "Victory of the Nation" thematic photo exhibition at the Embassyand participated in the 15 July commemoration programme.
The collaboration with TIKA
The second destination on Rector Çomaklı's itinerary was the TurkishCooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA). Support and development of Turkishinstitutions and universities in Kazakhstan were the subjects of discussionduring the meetings with TIKA officials. There was an agreement to collaborateon a variety of initiatives in this context.
Innovations in Education with Gumilyov University
Academic exchange programmes, joint research projects, and student exchangeprogrammes between the two institutions were the subjects of discussion atGumilyov University, one of the most significant stops of the visit. During themeeting with the administration of Gumilyov University, a comprehensivecooperation agreement was signed between the two universities. This agreementis designed to enhance the international competitiveness of both universities.
In collaboration with the Agrotechnical University of Agriculture andTechnology
Cooperation opportunities in the sectors of agriculture and technology wereassessed at the Agrotechnical University, the second stop of the visit toKazakhstan. In accordance with the agreement signed between Atatürk Universityand Agrotechnical University, it was determined to conduct collaborativeresearch projects and establish academic staff and student exchange programmes.
Fostering the Future through Cooperation Agreements
Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı assessed his visit to Kazakhstan and stated,"This visit is a significant step in the development of academic andcultural relations between the two countries." Atatürk University anduniversities in Kazakhstan will both benefit significantly from the agreementsthat have been signed. "I am confident that these partnerships willpresent novel opportunities in the realm of education and research."
The visit of Rector Çomaklı to Kazakhstan is of significant significance interms of the enhancement of academic relations between the two countries andthe exploration of new areas of collaboration. Throughout the duration of thevisit, which will conclude on July 18, Atatürk University will further enhanceits international presence by executing agreements with numerous universities.
