The CEO of Turkish Foundation for Combating Erosion Reforestation and the Protection of Natural Habitats (TEMA) Deniz Ataç and the accompanying committee visited the Rector of Ataturk University Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı in his office.
Deniz Ataç who came to Erzurum to share the work of the TEMA foundation with the member sand to exchange ideas about various projects, said they were quite happy to cometo Erzurum with the board members. Ataç who said that the Rector Çomaklı had closely followed the projects for greening Ataturk University told: “Moving away from the nature is creating one of the major problems. We need to get our young people together with the nature again by the organized events.In this regard, we are appreciating the interest and works of Ataturk University at the point of getting sapling together with the soil. I thank, for his hospitality ,Rector Prof Dr Ömer Çomaklı who supports the works of our TEMA Foundation voluntarily by taking the responsibility for a liveable future.”The Rectorof Ataturk University Prof Dr Ömer Çomaklı who mentioned that they have planted nearly 20 thousands saplings in the campus of Ataturk University and gotten the students together with the nature by Mountaineering and Outdoor Sports club fromthe day they took up the position: “Tema Foundation has been working devotedly about the planting and caring of trees in order to increasing the existed number of the forest of our country for years. As Atatürk University we are trying to support this effort. We are getting the academician and the students together with the nature by the events we organized. We are doing these works to leave a more liveable world to the future generations. I want to mention that I will be happy to do project collaborated with TEMA Foundation. I thank The CEO of TEMA Foundation Deniz Ataç, theagent of TEMA Foundation in Erzurum Işıl Bedirhanoğlu and the board members,the authority and the volunteers.”
After thevisit Deniz Ataç presented the rosette of TEMA Foundation by giving the books“Dünyanın Durumu 2017” and “ Toprağın 7 bin Yıllık Öyküsü” as a gift.
