RECTOR ÇOMAKLI SPENT HIS WEEKEND HOLIDAY AT THE UNIVERSITY
As part of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project, Atatürk University, which continues its innovative studies with the slogan "Moving Forward in the Service of Life", continues its preparations to start the new education period in full.
In this context, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, who spent his weekend visiting some units at the University, evaluated the work done in the renovation process of the Faculty of Agriculture Laboratories on site. Afterwards, he talked to the authorities about the Food and Livestock Application and Research Center, the Youth Center under construction, the dwelling-houses and asphalt works.
First visit to the faculty of agriculture laboratories
Firstly, in company with vice rector Prof. Dr. Atilla Keskin, rector Çomaklı visited the Faculty of Agriculture. They got information by the dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Önder Çalmaşur about the innovations made in the faculty. Çomaklı examined the laboratories of the Faculty of Agriculture, whose physical facilities were developed and equipped with the latest technological devices, noting that the laboratories were designed worthy of the valuable students of Atatürk University.
“Agriculture and Veterinary Faculties will always support the regional producers”
Accompanied by Center Director Prof. Dr. Bahri Bayram, Çomaklı also visited the sheep breeding and cattle farm of the Food Livestock Application and Research Center (GUHAM), touring the farms. He stated that Atatürk University made significant contributions to Erzurum, one of the leading cities of animal husbandry, emphasizing that the Faculties of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine will always support the regional producers with scientific methods.
The Youth Center has neared the end
Making examinations at the Youth Center, which has come to an end during the construction phase, Prof. Dr. Çomaklı said that they are very happy to offer the biggest youth center of the east to Atatürk University students. He made great efforts to make the youth center ready for the 2022-2023 academic year, and examined every study about the center in detail and received information during the process.
He observed the asphalt works on site that continue accross the University, stating that the students who come to Atatürk University will be able to do both their scientific studies and social activities in more modern facilities with the works to have been completed in the new academic term. He added that they will continue to work to create a happy campus environment.
