The rector of Atatürk University Prof.Dr. Çomaklı and his administration helped ashura to the students and the academic members with the occassion of Muharram Ul Haram. 

The students showed a great interest in ashura which had been prepared by the Headship of Health, Culture and Sports. Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı implied that they had been holding a lot of activities with the aim of consolidating unity, togetherness and brotherhood. He said, ”Muharram Ul Haram when Allah’s greatness and honoring scales up reunits everybody from 70 to 7,combines, conduces to cooperation. Although Ashura seems to offer sweet in our tradition, it has been a symbol of togetherness, unity, tolerance and solidarity for ages. Another feature of ashura is that different kinds of dried fruits which are boiled in a caldron create so delicious a taste. It reminds us brotherhood,togetherness and unity.” 

After offering ashura, Rector Çomaklı chatted with the students visiting the stands. He had a souvenier photo taken with the students from Muş İmamHatip High School who visited Atatürk University.
