Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı met with the vice-rectors, deans and the general secretary, whom he worked with during his term, and thanked them for their contributions to the Research University process.

Rector Çomaklı, who had a sincere conversation with his guests in Erzurum House (Stone Building) located on the campus of Atatürk University, thanked the vice-rectors, deans, and university generals with whom he had worked so far, due to his contributions to both the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project and the Research University process. He thanked his secretary and gave a message of unity and solidarity.

Rector Çomaklı, who stated that they achieved important successes in a short time with their changing face and redesigned roadmap and that they showed this by being at the top of the lists published by many respected ranking institutions, said: Together, we shaped the vision of the New Generation University, which we put into practice in order to give direction. For this purpose, we held many research conferences, meetings, and interviews. By intensifying our work in line with the goals we set, we started to fulfill the criteria set by HCE one by one. We have accredited our departments and laboratories, and we continue to do so. We increased our cooperation with industrial organizations and other public institutions. We made model and patent studies by creating an R&D and innovation climate. We have implemented our policies resolutely and achieved significant successes. After an intense study process, we have earned the title of Research University to our university. I would like to express my appreciation to our previous administrative staff and our current colleagues, whose support we have always felt throughout this process, and who showed great effort in a devoted way, and I would like to state that we will continue to exchange ideas in the next period.

Expressing that they are always proud to be a part of Atatürk University's administration team and to be a part of the achievements, the guests stated that they are ready to provide all necessary support, as they have done so far, and thanked Rector Çomaklı for his kind invitation.
