Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, together with Erzurum Deputy İbrahim Aydemir, visited Strategy and Budget head İbrahim Şenel to hold the additional budget negotiations of the University. During the visit, Rector Çomaklı briefed Şenel about the investment projects in Atatürk University's 2020-2024 Strategic Plan and demanded their support for ongoing investments.

Rector Çomaklı: "Our investments continue for the future of our university"

On his visit to the Presidential Strategy and Budget head Şenel in his office, being also a member of YÖK (HEC), Rector Çomaklı shared information about the general situation and development of the University, expressing his demands for the ongoing works and other planned projects. Rector Çomaklı underlined that they have carried out works of high budgets and added value to the development of the region. Within the scope of his visit, he made the following remarks: “The resources provided to research centers, especially the Eastern Anatolia Observatory, and the investments made in the units across the districts show that Atatürk University has a mission beyond its borders. We visited the Presidency's Strategy and Budget head Şenel to hold talks about the ongoing projects of our university, which renders services in such a wide geography and is the locomotive not only of the city but also of the region it is located in. The aim of the visit was both to hold a consultation and to seek their support. I would like to take the opportunity to thank our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the lead, İbrahim Şenel for their supports to the investment programs of our university, showing close interest and hospitality, our deputy of Erzurum İbrahim Aydemir, who accompanied us on the sidelines of our visit and whose support we have always felt, and also all the administrative and bureaucratic officials of our city."

Aydemir: “The projects will accelerate academic and social development”

Expressing that Atatürk University's title 'A University Founding Universities' is a sign of its importance in the region, AK Party Erzurum deputy İbrahim Aydemir stated that as a result of the quality education given in its faculties, its graduates have taken part in various and important sectors of the country. He also said that the University has crowned its process of reconstruction with the title of Research University, emphasizing that the ongoing works are of critical importance for the region. “I would like to thank Strategy and Budget head İbrahim Şenel, with our President, for their support for the realization of projects that will give impetus to academic and social development when completed. I sincerely believe that the steps taken and the services rendered will yield good results." he finished his words.

Şenel: “We closely follow the strategic plan goals and development processes of Atatürk University”

Expressing his satisfaction with the visit, and thanking deputy Aydemir and Rector Çomaklı, Şenel said: "Atatürk University has an important place in terms of higher education in the country. This importance has been increasing gradually with the title of Research University recently. We closely follow the investments, strategic plan targets and development processes in this direction." He gave the good news that Atatürk University, which has realized its digital transformation and successfully carried out asset management, has carried out investment planning in an institutional way and, that's why, the necessary support will be provided to include the studies planned in this direction in the upcoming investment programs.
