RECTOR ÇOMAKLI MEETS WITH TABRIZ UNIVERSITY DELEGATION

The delegation of Tabriz University came to Erzurum to participate in the Eastern Anatolia Career Fair (DAKAF'22), hosted by Atatürk University, with the support of the Presidential Human Resources Office. The delegation and the rectors of the stakeholder universities held a meeting under the chairmanship of Ömer Çomaklı in order to develop bilateral cooperation.

The Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erzurum, Dr. Sojad Soltanzadeh, DAKAF'22 host University Rector, Prof. Ömer Çomaklı, the rectors and vice-rectors of stakeholder universities, and ATATEKNOKENT General Manager Prof. Dr. Ayhan Çelik attended the meeting.

Education and research partnerships such as creating joint diploma programs, postgraduate education cooperation, student and researcher exchange between Tabriz University and DAKAF'22 stakeholder universities were discussed at the meeting.

In addition, ideas for establishing joint pre-incubation and incubation centers between Tabriz University Technopolis and ATA TEKNOKENT, and developing cooperation between Technopolis companies were discussed.

Giving information about Tabriz University at the meeting, the university delegation said that Tabriz University is the 5th largest university in Iran with its 75-year history, stating they wanted to cooperate primarily in the field of science and technology.

"Tabriz University is preparing for modernization and technological transformation. A protocol was signed with 20 universities for the internationalization of the university, R&D studies were carried out with 70 companies in the Technopolis, and within this scope, the university was ready for any kind of cooperation." the delegation said.

Rector Çomaklı said that a commission consisting of vice-rectors of stakeholder universities has been formed for the implementation of the cooperation plans, emphasizing that mutual contact is the first condition in the process of establishing bilateral cooperation.

“We attach importance to bilateral cooperation in national and international fields”

Rector Çomaklı underlined that new steps should be taken to promote the existing relations with Iranian universities and to strengthen Islamic brotherhood. “We should develop joint projects between the two ancient universities and benefit from knowledge and experience. We have achieved a versatile identity with the move of the New Generation Design and Transformation Project that we have started at our university. With this identity, we have also strengthened our mission of putting science at the service of society with all its aspects. On the way to internationalization, we signed protocol agreements with many universities around the world. In this respect, we attach importance to bilateral cooperation studies in line with the leadership mission in the national and international arena, especially with the universities in the region and nearby geography." added Çomaklı.
