RECTOR ÇOMAKLI INTRODUCED THE UNITS OF ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY TO GOVERNOR ÇIFTÇI

In the course of his weekend shift, Atatürk University Rector  Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı and Governor Mustafa Çiftçi visited the locations where the university conducts public engagements. During these visits, Çomaklı disseminated information regarding the ongoing and forthcoming studies being conducted by the university.

Within this framework, Governor Çiftçi and Rector Çomaklı visited the Biodiversity Science Museum initially, followed by the Animal Hospital of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Manege Area and Equine Coordination Office, where they were briefed by the authorities.

Rector Çomaklı declared that the forthcoming official opening of the Biodiversity Science Museum, housed within the Biodiversity Application and Research Center, will feature an enormous collection of 250,000 individuals and 10,000 species amassed over the course of six decades from various regions of Turkey, with a particular emphasis on Eastern Anatolia.

Rector Çomaklı and Governor Çiftçi engaged in a discussion regarding the Manege Area, a social space regarded by the citizens of Erzurum and where horseback riding instruction is provided. Rector Çomaklı remarked that the Manege Area, which caters to all segments of society, is a popular destination, particularly among children.

During their final visit of the day to the Animal Hospital affiliated with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Governor Çiftçi and Rector Çomaklı were provided with an update on the hospital's operations. Rector Çomaklı expressed gratitude to Governor Mustafa Çiftçi for his enthusiastic support and keen interest in the university, highlighting the ways in which the Mobile Animal Hospital and state-of-the-art laboratories of the Animal Hospital consistently aid regional farmers.

Governor Çiftçi expressed his delight at the presence of such distinguished units in Erzurum, which is situated at the crossroads of Eastern Anatolia, while emphasizing that Atatürk University has performed exemplary work for numerous institutions in terms of advancing science and serving the public.

Having the privilege of touring and inspecting several departments of Atatürk University, Governor Çiftçi asserted that the institution possesses a vast infrastructure capable of satisfying the comprehensive needs and expectations of the general public. Governor Çiftçi further expressed gratitude towards Ömer Çomaklı for his benevolent efforts and gracious hospitality.
