The Council of Higher Education (YÖK) hosted the Interuniversity Council (ÜAK) Meeting in Ankara. Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu of Atatürk University was present at the meeting, which was presided over by the President of the Council of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar.

 The Conference Hall of the YÖK Presidency was the venue for the meeting, which was attended by Professor Representatives elected by the senate of each university and all university rectors in our country. The meeting discussed the current state of the Turkish higher education system, and it also conducted a comprehensive evaluation of future objectives and priorities.

 The opening speech of the meeting was delivered by YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, who underscored the significance of solidarity among universities. He expressed his optimism that the meeting would foster a shared vision that would advance our higher education system.

 Many critical topics, including the elections for the membership of the Council of Higher Education and the Associate Professorship Commission, the proposal for an amendment to the associate professorship regulation, and the regulations regarding the recognition of academic titles received abroad, were discussed and resolved during the meeting.

 After the meeting, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, the Rector of Atatürk University, conducted an evaluation: "The 261st General Assembly Meeting of the Interuniversity Board was conducted at the Council of Higher Education." Our meeting commenced with the assessment of our Higher Education System by the President of the Council of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar. Then, we proceeded to the items on our agenda and made critical decisions regarding Turkish higher education. I am of the opinion that these decisions will enhance the academic operations of our universities. I am optimistic that our meeting will establish a vision for the scientific advancement of our nation.

 The meeting concluded with the exchange of desires and aspirations.
