At an event organized for Working Journalists Day on January 10, Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu engaged with members of the press.

The program, which was held at the Ata Uygulama Hotel and was hosted by Atatürk University, commemorated the significant day of journalists and disseminated critical information regarding the university's initiatives.

Rector Hacımüftüoğlu underscored the significant contributions of the journalism profession to society and commemorated the day of all press workers in his address. Hacımüftüoğlu also addressed the work conducted at Atatürk University, noting that significant progress had been achieved, particularly in the establishment of medicine and vaccine centers. Hacımüftüoğlu stated that the meetings were constructive and that concrete measures would be implemented in the near future, indicating that these strategically significant regions would yield substantial benefits for the nation.

Rector Hacımüftüoğlu also stressed that the university was making significant efforts to convert Erzurum's high altitude advantage into added value. According to Hacımüftüoğlu, they are currently engaged in projects that enhance university-society collaboration in accordance with the objective of a university that is integrated with the city. He also stated that they will promptly implement new initiatives that will benefit Erzurum.

Hacımüftüoğlu also provided information regarding the work conducted at Atatürk University Research Hospital in response to inquiries from members of the press during the program. Rector Hacımüftüoğlu underscored the significance of health-related projects for the region and the nation. He acknowledged the significance and responsibility that Atatürk University bears for the region and the nation, particularly in the realm of higher education. He further stated that they will persist in their efforts with this perspective.

The event concluded with the carving of the cake, which was designed to reflect significance of the day. Rector Hacımüftüoğlu once again commemorated the day of all journalists and extended his best wishes for a future filled with success and health.
