RECTOR HACIMÜFTÜOĞLU INVITED PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN TO KUDAKAF'25
Although Erzurum is honored to maintain the designation of "Tourism Capital" as determined by the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) for the duration of 2025, the organization of events within this framework is proceeding at a rapid pace. The Palandöken Economic Forum and the Northeastern Anatolia Career Fair will make substantial contributions to the promotion of the city at the national and international levels during this significant process, which will culminate in the official opening ceremony in Erzurum on Saturday, April 26.
The delegation, which included Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, met with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to express their gratitude for their involvement in these significant events. President Erdoğan, who is invited to attend both the ECO 2025 Tourism Capital opening program and the Northeastern Anatolia Career Fair 2025 in Erzurum on the same dates, has included a visit to the city in his program. This is regarded as a testament to the interest and significance that the city is accorded.
The Career Fair will be hosted by Atatürk University in collaboration with representatives from the private sector, public institutions, and universities in the region. The fair will also make substantial contributions to the development of the region and the formation of qualified human resources by providing employment opportunities for young people.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu conducted an evaluation subsequent to the visit, stating the following:
"We are deeply grateful to have our President in attendance at these significant and special events on behalf of our city." The cultural, academic, and economic influence of Erzurum will be reflected in the EİT 2025 Official Opening Ceremony and the Northeastern Anatolia Career Fair, which will be conducted under the direction of our university. The involvement of our President will significantly enhance the value of these events and serve as an inspiration to our youth.
Hacımüftüoğlu emphasized that the fair's objective is to facilitate the interaction between young people and the business world through the involvement of regional universities, public institutions, and the private sector. He also mentioned that new employment opportunities will be available to students and graduates.
