Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu continues to receive congratulations following his appointment as the Rector of Atatürk University. Academic and administrative personnel, administrators of public institutions, and representatives of civil society organisations continue to visit Rector Hacımüftüoğlu in his office to extend their congratulations.

After his appointment as Rector, Prof. Dr. Hacımüftüoğlu made significant assessments of the university's future. He emphasised the necessity of scientific studies to prioritise social development and generate solutions to issues, as well as the significance of utilising scientific knowledge for the betterment of society.

Rector Hacımüftüoğlu, who addressed his guests individually and discussed the university's future plans and projects, stated, "I am of the opinion that scientific research at our institution should not be restricted to academic publications and patents, but should also culminate in tangible products." One of the most critical responsibilities of universities is to convert scientific knowledge into societal benefits. In this direction, we will guarantee that our research endeavours are adequately funded to facilitate the development and commercialisation of innovative products. Our university will adopt an approach that assesses academic performance based on the economic and social impact of the products presented, in addition to the number of publications and patents. Consequently, our university will establish itself as a hub that directly contributes to society by implementing this knowledge, in addition to the generation of scientific knowledge.

Rector Hacımüftüoğlu: "We will accelerate scientific research."

Rector Hacımüftüoğlu also underscored that the university will pursue significant projects in the field of social sciences. He further stated, "Our university is not only in the field of positive sciences, but also in the field of social sciences, both for Erzurum and We know that it is in a position to make significant contributions to our country." In order to both advance this mission and achieve a level of competition with global universities, we will expedite our scientific research. The social sciences are essential in the analysis of social issues, the preservation of cultural values, and the greater comprehension of human behaviour. In this direction, we will provide support for social science research at our university and create initiatives that address the requirements of our city and country. Our university will serve as a hub that facilitates social advancement, contributes to the formulation of policies, and fortifies our cultural heritage through the research conducted in the social sciences.

Hacımüftüoğlu, who claimed that Atatürk University will make significant strides in both scientific and social spheres in the new era, emphasised the significance of the academic and administrative staff's contributions in this regard.
