Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu continues to receive congratulatory visits after his appointment to his new position. In this context, President of the 5th High Criminal Court Fevzi Bilal Tezcan, Mayor of Uzundere M. Halis Özsoy, Deputy Mayor of Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality Mehmet Akarsu and Secretary General Zafer Aynalı were among the guests of Rector Hacımüftüoğlu.

During the visit, which took place in the Rectorate office, the guests congratulated Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu on his new position and wished him success. During the meeting, the importance of the cooperation of local governments and the judiciary with universities was emphasised. In particular, it was agreed that the scientific researches of the university and its contributions to regional development should be supported.

Rector Hacımüftüoğlu thanked his guests for their visit and stated that Atatürk University will continue to play an active role not only in education but also in social development and regional development. Hacımüftüoğlu also stated that the university will strengthen its cooperation with local administrations in this process.

During the meeting, the parties discussed joint projects for the future of Erzurum and emphasised the importance of cooperation for the realisation of these projects. In addition, information was exchanged about the new projects to be implemented by the university in the coming period.
