After assuming office, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, Rector of Atatürk University, keeps receiving congratulations visits from university members as well as from other institutions and organisations in Erzurum. In his meetings with the academic and administrative personnel that visited Rector Hacımüftüoğlu, he delivered significant remarks about the direction of the institution.

Hacımüftüoğlu said during the visits that one of his main objectives is to establish a working atmosphere where the members of the university would be pleased and free from stress: "We will carry out the university administration within the framework of common sense. Working together with our academics and administrative personnel, we shall ascertain Atatürk University's road plan in this sense. Our goal is to continue forward the success of our institution together and make every employee feel like a member of this great family."

Emphasising that research should serve the society, Rector Hacımüftüoğlu underlined the need of concentrating science on social benefit, particularly in developing nations like Turkey. Hacımüftüoğlu said in this regard that they would take social demands in the projects to be carried out within the institution top priority: "We will prioritise initiatives that will promote the welfare of the community and help to sustainably grow. Science should be pursued not merely for personal success but also for the sake of society generally."

Strengthening this sense of belonging will enable our university to achieve greater success in the academic and scientific field. Rector Hacımüftüoğlu pointed out that it is vital for the scientists working at Atatürk University to adopt the feeling that they are working at one of the best universities in Turkey and said I think that if this sentiment is developed, the momentum in our institution will rise much more."

Prof. Dr. Hacımüftüoğlu thanked the guests for their congrats and well wishes and said they will collectively shape the future of Atatürk institution and will keep on their journey as a pioneering institution in research and education with determination.
