THE LITTLE RECTOR WILL BE TRUSTED WITH THE RECTOR'S CHAIR ON APRIL 23.

This year, Atatürk University observed National Sovereignty and Children's Day on April 23 with tremendous enthusiasm and a significant event.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, the Rector of Atatürk University, transferred his seat to Foundation Schools 5th grade pupil Ahmet Enes Sağlam for a day during the symbolic handover ceremony on the special day that Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk presented to children.

Prof. Dr. Hacımüftüoğlu greeted the diminutive rector, who was transported from his residence to the Rectorate building via an official vehicle. Prof. Dr. Hacımüftüoğlu apprised his young visitor of the university's general operations during the symbolic handover ceremony. Ahmet Enes expressed his excitement and pride in the opportunity to assume leadership of a significant and deeply ingrained institution such as Atatürk University.

Ahmet Enes, who had previously expressed his aspiration to become a scientist, issued the directive to construct a playground as his inaugural act during his tenure. Throughout the ceremony, the diminutive rector, who attracted attention with his self-assurance and determination in the rectorate, elicited smiles from the audience.

In his April 23 address, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu stated, "It is our shared obligation to ensure that our children, the security of our future, are free from future worries and have equal access to education, nutrition, and health." All of our children are embraced with affection, and I hope they lead a life of health and happiness in a world of peace.

The event concluded with Ahmet Enes and his family capturing a photograph with Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu as a tribute to the day.
