SOCIAL SCIENCES VOCATIONAL SCHOOL IS READY FOR EDUCATION IN ITS NEW BUILDING
Continuing its renovation, strengthening and construction works throughout the campus, Atatürk University continues to implement innovative studies for students to have a better campus life and education.
Adding a new one to the projects and studies carried out under the instruction of Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, Atatürk University allocated a part of the old Faculty of Letters building to the Social Sciences Vocational School
The old Faculty of Letters, which hosts some research centers, have become the new building of Social Sciences Vocational School. Due to the physical structure of the old vocational school building and insufficient quota for students, it was decided to move it to the old Faculty of Letters with a total indoor area of 6,300 square meters.
In addition, 6 archives and warehouses, 1 meeting and conference hall, 3 lecture halls, 1 computer laboratory, 1 computerized radio-TV classroom, 12 classrooms and an elevator for the disabled were built in the building, where 37 administrative and academic staff rooms were built. The stair and gallery spaces of the new Social Sciences Vocational School building, whose entrance and exit were made suitable for disabled access, were made suitable for occupational safety, and the railings were also renewed.
Making a statement on the subject, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı said that the existing education buildings at Atatürk University, which reached 100% occupancy rate in the 2022-2023 academic year, were renovated and made more modern and spacious. In this context, Çomaklı stated that a new building was allocated to Social Sciences Vocational School, the old building of which was inadequate, adding that they brought the new building into a form that would please students and academics. Çomaklı wished the new education building to be beneficial to the members of Social Sciences Vocational School.
