THE DEPARTMENT OF TEXTILE AND FASHION DESIGN ACHIEVED SIGNIFICANT SUCCESS BY BEING ACCREDITED FOR THE FIRST TIME
The Design Planning and Accreditation Association (TAPLAK) has granted accreditation to the Department of Textile and Fashion Design of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Atatürk University for a period of two years. The department has once again demonstrated its ability to elevate the quality of its education to international standards, having achieved significant success as the first Textile and Fashion Design Department to receive accreditation in Turkey.
Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, the Rector of Atatürk University, evaluated the subject and asserted that the university's success is indicative of its quality-oriented educational approach. Rector Hacımüftüoğlu stated, "Our university's success in the fields of education and research is advancing with each passing day." This accreditation of our Textile and Fashion Design Department also serves as confirmation that it offers education in accordance with international standards. I am grateful to all of our academics and TAPLAK for their contributions to this process.
Prof. Dr. Bünyamin Aydemir, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, announced that the institution has been granted a two-year accreditation period that will be effective from March 7, 2025, to March 7, 2027, as a consequence of the assessment conducted by TAPLAK - Fashion Design, Textile Design, Textile and Fashion Design Accreditation Board (MOTETAK). Dean Aydemir expressed his gratitude to the TAPLAK delegation, TAPLAK Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Alper Çabuk, and Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu for their contributions.
This significant accreditation contributes to the continued development of the Textile and Fashion Design Department at Atatürk University on both a national and international scale, demonstrating its commitment to providing its students with a world-class educational experience.
