The selection process has started for university candidates. Candidates who make their university choices between 6-14 August will be one step closer to their dreams.
Stating that Atatürk University, which has made researches that will set an example to the world of science with its deep-rooted history and strong academic staff, is waiting for its students in the new period with the slogan "In the service of life, always forward ..." Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı made evaluations about the selection process and the work done within the university.

Next Generation University

Atatürk University, which gained a modern structure under the leadership of the "New Generation University Design and Transformation Project", which was founded in the light of the Presidential Government System and the vision of the New YÖK, today continues its scientific activities with 23 Faculties, 12 Vocational Schools, 8 Institutes, 41 Research Centers, 1 School and 1 Conservatory. Stating that the university has managed to become the university of firsts with its expert academic staff, education and research opportunities, Rector Prof. Dr Çomaklı underlined that they have trained students in doctorate, master, undergraduate and associate degree programs.

63 Years of Experience

Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, one of the most important castles of the period of national struggle, in this context, with its history-smelling architecture and ancient tradition, Atatürk University, which is located in Erzurum, which looks at Turkish history and Turkish geography from 1945 meters; he said that it continues its educational activities as a deep-rooted, large, dynamic and contemporary university with the synthesis of 63 years of tradition and experience.

Blended Learning Model

Emphasizing that the traditional education model and success criteria are being tested, Rector Çomaklı; Stating that the traditional classroom environment, the system that supports memorization and exams, is unfortunately insufficient to raise the generation that will produce the future, he said: “The whole world is changing at a tremendous pace. As everything changes, the learning styles, perception, perspective and expectations of the youth are also changing. From now on, we cannot say that there will be completely distance education just because technology makes it possible, which is not possible because not all courses and skills are suitable for this. Some knowledge and skills need to be gained through experience. For this reason, we aim to make the Blended Learning Model, which is a whole of virtual and formal education, widespread. With this model, it will be possible to benefit from the positive aspects of both face-to-face training and web-based training. For this reason, as a university, we continue our work with an understanding that attaches importance to digital transformation ”.

Rector Çomaklı stated that his higher education diploma means more than being an indispensable document and a driver's license to carry on a career journey.
