Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, the rector of Atatürk University, issued a message commemorating Medicine Day, an annual observance observed on March 14th. Rector Çomaklı incorporated the subsequent assertions into his discourse:

We gain a greater appreciation for the worth of health when we lose it. It is of the utmost importance to recognize that the world is, in fact, transitory and that life is precariously balanced on a thread, our gratitude, our health, our families, and the opportunities that life presents. Healthcare practitioners are one of the professions that impart significance to these values. I extend my sincere felicitations on Medicine Day to our esteemed healthcare professionals, who valiantly strive with the understanding that a single life is equivalent to the entire world.
