TUBITAK-1004 STUDIES REACHED THE FINAL STAGE

Atatürk University has reached the final stage of the project prepared within the scope of TÜBİTAK 1004 call for centres of excellence. Preparations have been completed within the scope of TÜBİTAK-1004 programme call, the first call of which was made in 2018 and reopened in 2024 with the title of High Technology Platforms-Green Transformation.

Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı and vice-rectors, APYK coordinators, project coordinators, project coordinators and research teams attended the information meeting held in the Culture Center Prof. Dr. Kemal Bıyıkoğlu Hall within the scope of this call, which is a lane where Research Universities compete.

At the meeting where final project contents, budgets and work plans were discussed, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı listened to all projects one by one and made evaluations. Rector Çomaklı stated that they act with the responsibility of being a research university and that they make an intense effort for the development of the region, especially Erzurum, and emphasised that they continue to take innovative and seminal steps expected from Atatürk University with this project. Stating that the projects will be supported with a large budget, Çomaklı expressed his belief that all the studies prepared according to the 1004 project, which aims to bring the technology and innovation required by the age to the soil, will provide added value and thanked the whole team for their efforts.

The platform, which will be established under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Taşkın Öztaş, consists of projects submitted by different universities and industrial partners. The platform, which is technically monitored by Project Development Office Coordinator Prof. Dr. Elif Çadırcı, is planned to be submitted to TÜBİTAK by 17 May.
