Brigadier General Metin Düz, who was appointed from the Şanlıurfa Provincial Gendarmerie Command to the Erzurum Regional Gendarmerie Command with the publication of the Official Gazette of the decisions regarding the final assignments,  visited Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr.   Ömer Çomaklı.

After welcoming his guest to the Rector's office, Prof. Dr. Çomaklı expressed his satisfaction with the visit and wished Brigadier General Düz success in his new duty. Rector Çomaklı, who stated that both institutions have always united under a common denominator from the past to the present, said that the gendarmerie teams are working hard to establish peace in the society.

Rector Çomaklı gave information to Metin Düz about the Eastern Anatolia Observatory (EAO), which is among the vision projects of the Republic of Turkey, and stated that the first light will be received in 2023 and that it will host scientists from all over the world.

Brigadier General Metin Düz, who stated that he was pleased to be appointed to Erzurum, the apple of the East's eye, and to serve this ancient city, stated that he continues his visits with the thought of what kind of cooperation we will act with.

Metin Düz thanked Rector Çomaklı for his hospitality and said that he would serve the people of Erzurum, who approached him wholeheartedly.
