RETURN VISIT FROM MAJOR GENERAL ALGAN TO RECTOR ÇOMAKLI

Major General Tevfik Algan, who was appointed as the 9th Corps and Garrison Commander from Tekirdağ 5th Corps Command with the announcement of the decisions regarding the latest assignments in the Official Gazette, paid a return visit to Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı.

Welcoming his guest in the Rectorate office, Prof. Dr. Çomaklı expressed his satisfaction with the visit and wished Major General Algan success in his new post. Stating that Erzurum will reach the position it deserves thanks to Erzurum-loving administrators in the administrative, military and judiciary, Rector Çomaklı said: "The only goal of the city administrators who work in harmony with each other is to bring Erzurum to the highest points. From past to present, both institutions have always united under a common denominator. Atatürk University, which continues to work in this direction, contributes significantly to development with its cooperation on national and international platforms."

Major General Tevfik Algan, who stated that he was pleased to be appointed to Erzurum, the summit of the east, to serve this ancient city and that the people of the city welcomed him sincerely, emphasised that as the Turkish Armed Forces, they are always at the service of the Turkish people. Stating that he continues his visits with the idea of how we can act in cooperation with which institution, Algan thanked Rector Çomaklı for his hospitality.

At the end of the visit, Rector Çomaklı informed his guest Major General Algan about the Eastern Anatolian Observatory (DAG), one of the vision projects of the Republic of Turkey, and said that DAG is in the process of completion and will stand out as an advanced class R&D investment in terms of Space Sciences and Technologies.
