FACULTY OF TOURISM IS OF GREAT IMPORTANCE FOR ERZURUM
Atatürk University Rector Prof.Dr. Ömer Çomaklı made various surveys at the Faculty of Tourism.
Rector Çomaklı, who has been visiting departments and units since the day he took office, within this scope; He once again came together with academics from the Faculty of Tourism and Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Recreation Management, Tourism Management and Tourism Guidance departments.
Rector Çomaklı stated that tourism is an indispensable element of societies in the time period from past to present. Professor Ömer Çomaklı pointed out that the Faculty of Tourism plays an important role in the training of qualified personnel needed in Erzurum, which has a high tourism potential and is open to development in all aspects. Rector Çomaklı stated that the tourism industry has both an interactive and interpersonal quality in intercultural communication: "The tourism sector, which has contributed significantly to the economic development of countries, has become indispensable and very important in intercultural communication. People started to come into contact with different cultures for reasons such as education, business organizations, diplomatic processes, touristic trips, political and economic constraints."

Rector Çomaklı mentioned that this trend in this direction should be turned into opportunities He stated that he cares about the winter and mountain tourism which is an important type of tourism to spread to other months of the year for tourism activities, which gathered the summer as intense in Turkey. By stating that Turkey has sufficient resources for winter and mountain tourism and Palandöken is one of the most important centers Çomaklı said that for getting maximum efficiency and adding value to the city, stressing that he made great effort for the Faculty of Tourism, he found that the mission of Our Faculty of Tourism valuable for the development of tourism industry and they will provide all necessary support to the end.
