A MONITORING AND EVALUATION MEETING WAS HELD FOR THE FACULTY OF TOURISM AND OLTU FACULTY OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES
Within the framework of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project, 2023 Academic Monitoring and Evaluation Meetings continue under the chairmanship of Ömer Çomaklı with the participation of unit managers and academicians.
Academicians from the Faculty of Tourism and the Oltu Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences met with Rector Çomaklı and the management team in the Cultural Center Blue Hall in the morning and afternoon, respectively. During these meetings, faculty deans and school principals delivered presentations regarding the progress and achievements within their respective academic units.
The research is conducted under four overarching themes: cultural transformation studies, evaluation of academic performance results, evaluation of university performance indicators, and TÜBİTAK competency analysis. In addition to these areas, the presentations also track developments and obstacles.
Rector Çomaklı declared that during the meetings dedicated to discussing the advancements made towards the road map established based on the conducted studies, both successful areas and areas requiring improvement were identified in accordance with the acquired data. Additionally, feedback regarding the work completed in the units was duly received.
Regarding higher education in the nation, Rector Çomaklı stated that several departments of Atatürk University have attained the coveted status in terms of innovation, scholarly contributions, and research and development: "Our nation continues to benefit from the expertise of our academic staff, numerous locomotive faculties, and well-equipped infrastructure. Our primary objective as Atatürk University is to make a scholarly contribution that elevates our nation's standing in the global academic arena. I would like to thank all our academics who work and make efforts in this direction, educate qualified students and contribute to our university with their quality publications, for their efforts and wish them success in their studies," he finished his words.
