ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY WILL BE A KEY PLAYER IN THE ADVANCEMENT OF TURKISH ENGINE TECHNOLOGY BY CONDUCTING TEI ENGINE TESTS.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, the Rector of Ataturk University, and his delegation of seven individuals visited TUSAŞ Motor Sanayii A.Ş. during their visit to Eskişehir. He convened with Mahmut Akşit, the General Manager of (TEI), and his technical staff.

The meeting, which was convened to enhance university-industry collaboration, contribute to the domestic and national technology initiative, and expand research capacity, facilitated the establishment of strategically significant collaborations.

With its 68 years of experience, well-equipped infrastructure, and qualified academic staff, Atatürk University, under the supervision of Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, continues its scientific research without pause. The university's contributions to the nation will be furthered by this comprehensive collaboration, which is dedicated to the advancement of domestic engine technology.

Engine Technology Collaborations

As part of the visit, it was determined that Atatürk University and TEI would collaborate on initiatives related to the development of Turkish engines, including the enhancement of high altitude ignition systems and surface coating. This partnership will be instrumental in the continued advancement of engine technologies on both a national and domestic scale.

Engine Testing to be Conducted at Atatürk University

Atatürk University will conduct the evaluations of aircraft engines developed by TEI, which is another significant outcome of the agreement. This measure will guarantee that the university's technical infrastructure and engineering expertise will be employed to support Turkey's aviation and defense sector.

For forty years, TEI has been providing support to the nation's technology.

TEI, which has been a global design and production center since 2010, was established in 1985. It has remained a prominent organization in the international market, representing Turkey in the production, assembly, and testing of aircraft engines. The objective is for Turkey to achieve a more independent and dominant position in engine technologies as a result of this collaboration with Atatürk University.

This agreement, which broadens Atatürk University's involvement in the field of advanced technology, is recognized as a significant stride toward the domestic industry. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu underscored the significance of this collaboration for the Turkish defense industry and scientific research, asserting that "it is of the utmost importance for academia and industry to collaborate in order to achieve our national objectives in the fields of science and technology."
