Regarding the centenary of the Republic of Turkey, a message was issued by the rector of Atatürk University, Professor Dr. Ömer Çomaklı. In his message, Rector Çomaklı made the following assertions: "We shall commemorate more than just a holiday or an anniversary this year. Our Republic is turning one hundred years old. It was established with the blood, labor, and aspirations of the citizens of a nation being triupmphed after an all-out conflict; they entrusted us with this extremely valuable gift that will endure for generations.
The Turks are a people who have proudly carried the flag of Islam for centuries while maintaining their Turkish identity. Not only did they embody and preserve the ideal of freedom in our region, but they also did so in the presence of numerous nations and ummahs. As a nation entrusted with the teachings of Islam, we have evolved into a leader among modern civilizations, guided by a centuries-old ideal of remaining modern while also being at the forefront of developments in democracy, science, and technology. We are genuinely honored to be a courageous and powerful nation that strives to extend its progress from the Turkish World to the entire globe in solidarity and unity. However, we do not wish to step on the toes of the oppressed; rather, we extend a helping hand to those in need and demonstrate mercy and justice not only towards our fellow countrymen but also towards those who are oppressed."

"Regarding the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of our Republic—a monumental plane tree, a victory medal, and a continuation of a narrative—we wish to extend our sincere gratitude to Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his military companions, our martyrs, veterans, and each valiant citizen of our nation who entrusted us with this invaluable republic at the risk of their lives. We recall you with gratitude and mercy. May they rest in peace with their spirits. May our republic endure indefinitely. I extend heartfelt felicitations to all of you." He finished his remaks.
