The journal "Recent Trends in Pharmacology," started by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, the founder and editor-in-chief,  initiated its publication in 2023. The journal quickly garnered attention for its substantial success. This journal, Turkey's inaugural international pharmacology publication, was recently included in the DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals) index and has since been indexed by EBSCO, further solidifying its academic reputation.  

Academic journals are essential for the dissemination and exchange of scientific knowledge. It is of paramount importance for both academic circles and healthcare providers to exchange the most recent research findings, particularly in the fields of medicine and health. In this regard, "Recent Trends in Pharmacology" facilitates the acquisition of the most recent data and contributes to innovative studies in the field of pharmacology.

Pharmacology is a branch of science that investigates the effects, mechanisms, and applications of drugs. According to the founder and editor-in-chief of the journal, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, it is essential for the development of drugs, the identification of effective treatment methods, and the formulation of health policies. In this context, Prof. Dr. Hacımüftüoğlu asserted that the journal "Recent Trends in Pharmacology" serves as a critical platform for the identification of emerging trends in the field of pharmacology, not only in Turkey but also globally, and for the advancement of knowledge in this area. Our objective with this journal is to ensure that academic circles have access to the most recent information and to identify emerging trends in the field of pharmacology. Furthermore, one of our most fervent aspirations is to facilitate the collaboration of national and international researchers in order to facilitate the development of significant studies that will enhance the health system. In light of these reflections, I would like to extend my gratitude to all those who have assisted in the accomplishments of our journal.
